We will not relocate to Afienya – Abossey Okai spare pieces dealers

Some spare sections sellers at Abossey Okai say they will not relocate to Afienya in line with options by the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council.

Describing on their own as Countrywide Concern Spare Components Sellers Association, they argue that Afienya will not be in their desire and have threatened to embark on a street protest if the conclusion was not rescinded.

RCC’s program

The Higher Accra Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) has planned to relocate all spare components dealers from Abossey Okai in Accra to Afienya.

According to the RCC it is component of the campaign to “Make Accra operate.”

The government has identified a land in Afienya and was working towards allocating it to the spare parts dealers.

The land, in accordance to the Increased Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey is owned by the government and that letters have previously been despatched to the Lands Commission under the Ministry of Lands and Natural Means for the allocation.

The vast majority conclusion

In the meantime, a co-chairman of the Abossey Okai Spare Areas Dealers Affiliation, Clement Boateng has explained the vast majority of their members have agreed to relocate to Afienya.
